This crib/bed was designed and custom made for a child with permanent disabilities. According to the parents, the child is not expected to grow much more, having outgrown his current crib. They needed a solution that would accommodate him comfortably for the foreseeable future while ensuring safety and accessibility for caregiving. The bed features a double fold-down gate that lowers twice: once for easy removal of the child and again for convenient changing linen and cleaning. The base includes six spacious drawers for storing clothes and other necessities. Crafted from poplar lumber and maple plywood, the entire unit is finished in a rich dark cherry stain. The slats provide both style and ventilation, creating a more pleasant environment for the child.
